The fourth trimester begins before delivery. A physician-led visit to review your medical and breastfeeding history, perform a breast exam, and build a personalized feeding plan before your baby arrives.
Complete medical and breastfeeding history
Breast anatomy exam
Personalized feeding plan
Equipment and supplement recommendations
Priority scheduling for your first postpartum visit
A comprehensive physician evaluation for families seeing FLOW for the first time. We assess both mom and baby and build a medical care plan uniquely tailored to the needs and goals of the family. Your visit may include:
Breastfeeding and medical history for mom and baby
Full newborn exam and breast exam
Infant vital signs — weight, bilirubin, temperature
Maternal blood pressure
Assessment of wounds, weight concerns, and feeding challenges
Continued physician oversight for established FLOW patients. Progress reassessment, care plan adjustment, and management of evolving concerns — including maternal issues like mastitis, plugged ducts, oversupply, D-MER, and return-to-work planning.
*Can be done with initial visit. A follow-up appointment is recommended following the procedure. **Flat rate regardless of number of multiples.
Available Statewide
Virtual visits — same care, wherever you are.
All three visit types are available virtually for patients throughout Tennessee. Virtual visits are the same price as in-person — because the physician time, expertise, and follow-up access are identical.
When someone you love struggles with feeding, you feel it too. Grandparents, friends, and even coworkers have found a way to help — by gifting a visit to FLOW. It's one of the most meaningful things you can do: giving access to clarity and specialized care unavailable anywhere else. Call us today!
About Our Practice
FLOW is a cash-pay direct care practice. We do not bill insurance. All visits are paid at time of service. Many patients successfully submit to FSA, HSA, or insurance for partial reimbursement — we provide documentation to support this.
Scheduling
All visits are scheduled in advance. New patients are typically seen within 1-2 business days. Urgent concerns are accommodated whenever possible — contact us directly to discuss your situation before booking.
